On the Epstein Files
At My Life My Choice, our hearts go out to every survivor having to watch all of this unfold. These files are a painful reminder of the realities that survivors face across the country where people with power attempt to minimize, ignore, and silence their voices.
To hold not just those in the files accountable, but all individuals who think it is ok to buy or sell another human being, we must hear, believe, and center every survivor's voice. People in power have been getting away with this for far too long, and at My Life My Choice we see first-hand the tremendous harm caused when people take advantage of other’s vulnerabilities.
You can no longer say that you didn’t know this was happening. The bravery of every Epstein survivor has led to this moment, but they should not have to do it alone.
To our community: we need your help in demanding justice for survivors.
Support anti-trafficking organizations, who are not nearly as well-funded as the rich and well-connected people in the files.
Encourage your congress people to release all the files, while protecting the victims and not shielding the guilty.
Hold everyone who participated and assisted in Epstein's crimes accountable.
To survivors of sexual violence and exploitation: from one survivor to another, please take care of yourself, step away from the screen and give yourself grace during moments of what may be re-traumatizing.
I know that right now feels hard and unbearable but know that you are not alone in this fight. There is a community of fellow survivors and dedicated allies that are here to support you.
I encourage you to look for support services in your local community and to surround yourself with true allies who care about your growth and healing.
Recovery and healing are possible, and you do not have to do it alone.
I see you, I support you, and I am proud of you.
In solidarity,
Audrey Morrissey
